Hi! My name is Erik Poleate, I'm 19 years old, and currently live in Layton, Utah. I'm a graduate from Layton High School, home of the Lancers, and was in a couple of productions there, 'The Crucible' as Giles Corey, and 'Titanic: The Musical' as a First Class Passenger. Both plays were exciting and overwhelming to be in! I've been in Utah now for about 14 years! People enjoy being around me, and I love making them happy! My outgoing personality make me the heart of the action! I'm currently employed at the Layton 'Arctic Circle' and am hoping to pursue my dream in acting very soon! Acting has always come natural to me! It's the time when I can become someone else and view their personality all at the same time, creating the character as my own! I'm a fast learner, and love performing! I believe in my dreams, create them, and pursue them with an open and forward heart! My long and famous motto is, "Hold on till the very end and never give up your dreams..."
Background
Back in 2003, at age 14, I took a Choir class at Fairfield Junior High, and began my love for singing! That same year, our choir class performed some hit songs from three different movies at the 'Layton Ampatheater', ("I am a man of Constant Sorrow" from 'Oh Brother, Where Art Though?' and "Carryin the Banner" from Newsies were the top hits!) In 2004 at Nuames High School, I started my own band and we were requested by many to perform in a Talent show, which we did ever so greatly! In 2005, at Layton Christian Academy, I took another Choir Class, and performed in a Christmas Production called 'The Gift of the Magai'! Also that year, I did Speech and Debate, and won three 2ND PLACE TROPHIES for Dramatic Interpritation! Just last year, I attended my last year of high school at 'Layton High', home of the "Lancers"! There I performed in two productions, 'The Crucible' as Giles Corey, and 'TITANIC: THE MUSICAL' as a First Class Passenger! I took Drama that year and traveled with my class to about five different elementary schools performing three different "Nursery Rhyme" stories! This year, I'm awaiting my chance to hit the big screen, and with God at my side, I know I will!
